Mystics, Sparks Game Preview

Looking to catch some basketball action on your Sunday? Tune in to WNBA League Pass at 5 p.m. ET as the Los Angeles Sparks host the Washington Mystics at Staples Center.

The defending champions who are 11-3 overall, are seeking their eighth straight victory against a great contender in the Mystics. The Sparks are second in the Western Conference and boast a 6-0 record at home led by reigning WNBA MVP, Nneka Ogwumike with 19.7 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game. The Sparks as a whole have been playing extremely well, locking in on the defensive end against opponents. Point guard Chelsea Gray has stepped up big time for the Sparks after Kristi Toliver left the team to sign with Washington. Gray averages 16.1 ppg and 4.4 apg. Candace Parker also adds 17 ppg, 8.1 rpg, and 4.6 apg.

The Mystics who are 10-5 overall, and first in the Eastern Conference are seeking their fourth consecutive win after coming off a victory against the New York Liberty. In the 67-54 win over New York, point guard Ivory Latta, scored 15 points along side Elena Delle Donne who also added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the road win despite an off shooting night by the team as a whole.
