Liberty, Stars Game Preview

The New York Liberty (12-10) head to San Antonio to take on the Stars (3-21) tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET.

New York has found success in their last two wins by playing solid defense and look to carry that over into tonight’s game plan. In Sunday’s victory over Chicago, the Liberty’s reserves accounted for 42 points in the 86-82 win as the team posted a season-high 25 assists. Tina Charles scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds after a slow start to aid in the victory. Sugar Rodgers added 14 and Kiah Stokes posted 10 points and 16 rebounds.

The Stars who begin a three-game homestand tonight, continue to look for a rhythm as they dropped their third straight on Sunday in a loss to the Phoenix Mercury. After a poor shooting night hitting just 22 of 65 shots from the field, the Stars fell 81-64. Shay Murphy scored a season-high 14 points to lead San Antonio, while Kayla McBride added 13.
