Lynx, Fever Game Preview

Meeting for the first time this season, the league-leading Minnesota Lynx (20-2) will visit the Indiana Fever (8-17) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse this evening.

Minnesota who is 9-1 on the road, look for their eighth straight victory after winning six of their past seven games by double-digits. In Thursday’s win over Atlanta, the Lynx outscored the Dream 23-2 in the fourth quarter for the 69-54 victory. Sylvia Fowles posted 25 points and 13 rebounds on the night, while Maya Moore finished with 15. The Lynx will be without guard Lindsay Whalen due to a broken left hand suffered in Thursday’s contest, but is expecting the return of Seimone Augustus who was out for personal reasons.

The Fever who have gone down hill in the latter half of this season, have matched their longest skid of the season with five consecutive losses. Looking to avoid a sixth, Indiana has to do a better job on the defensive end down the stretch. Candice Dupree tallied 18 points in the most recent loss to Chicago.
