With a 2-1 series lead over Minnesota, the Sparks have forced the Lynx into a tight corner putting their season and a shot at the title on the line. A win tonight for the Sparks means L.A. becomes the first team in 15 years to repeat; a task that hasn’t been done since the 2001 and 2002 Sparks squad achieved it.

In Game 3, Nneka Ogwumike and Odyssey Sims led the Sparks with 16 points apiece in the 75-64 victory over Minnesota. Candace Parker added 13 points after a scoreless first quarter due to the Lynxs’ pressure defensive. However, L.A., had a way of making Minnesota uncomfortable as well holding several key players scoreless. Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen were held to zero points, a career first for Augustus in playoff games. Maya Moore led the Lynx with 16 points, while Sylvia Fowles added 15. To avoid elimination tonight, Minnesota has got to lay it all on the line, if they want to force a Game 5 back at The Barn (Williams Arena, MN).

Be sure to tune in tonight at 8:30 PM ET, on ESPN to witness WNBA history.
