BOSTON, Mass.– After suffering two loses on NBA Opening Night (Tuesday Edition), the Boston Celtics return home to host the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Celtics fell to the Cavs by a score of 102-99 in Cleveland on Tuesday. However, it was the loss due to injury that hurt the Celtics 2018 season moments after it got started. Coveted wingman and NBA All-Star Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome leg injury that will more than likely end his regular season. We wish Gordon a speedy recovery.
Jaylen Brown led the Celts with a career high 25 points. Kyrie Irving scored a double-double of 22 points and 10 assists. Rookie of the Year prospect Jayson Tatum logged his first career double-double by scoring 14 points and snagging 10 rebounds.
Coach Jason Kidd will look to his MVP Candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo, marksman shooter Khris Middleton, and 2017 Rookie of the Year (ROY) Malcolm Brogdon to lead the supporting cast of Greg Monroe, Tony Snell, and Thon Maker through the regular season. Jabari Parker currently out due to injury.
