Kings vs. Mavs Preview

DALLAS, TX — The visiting Sacramento Kings (0-1) face off against the Dallas Mavericks (0-1) at American Airlines Center.

The Kings began their season without veteran big man Zach Randoplh (out due to oral surgery) and backup shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic (ankle sprain).

Kings center Willie Cauley-Stein currently leads the team in scoring at 21 points per game (ppg),  wingman Buddy Hield is scoring 19 ppg and second year forward Skal Labissiere is sporting a double-double average of 12 ppg and 10 rebounds per game (rpg) as this trio looks to establish a rhythm early this season.

The Mavericks are without Seth Curry (left tibia stress reaction), consider him week to week.

Mavericks rookie guard Dennis Smith, Jr., quickly established himself as a favorite for Rookie of the Year by recording a double-double in game one of his NBA career. Smith scored 16 points and dished out 10 assists while shooting efficiently from the field. Nerlens Noel also double-doubled in just 20 minutes of court time, posting 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 1 steal.
