Memphis, Tenn., — In an exciting double overtime battle in which, the Lady Magicians shot 41% from the field (31-76) and outrebounded the Lady Marauders 66-56, LeMoyne-Owen fell short to Central State University, 99-94, on December 2. Center Courtney Banks posted her first double-double of the season with 23 points and 14 boards. Junior Shaynn Nance added 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Dana Gettis led all scorers with 29 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
The Lady Magicians (3-5, 2-2 SIAC) return to action at home on Friday, Dec. 15, against nonconference opponent Southern Arkansas University (SAU).
Tip-off is set for 3 PM in Bruce/Johnson Hall.

The Lady Muleriders (0-8, 0-4 GAC) are members of the Great American Conference and are coming off a tough 53-49 loss to Delta State University. SAU will visit Jerry C. Johnson Court in search of their first win of the 2017-18 season. Sophomore forward, Kimberly Crown leads the Lady Muleriders in points and rebounds with 12.3 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
