Augusta, Ga., — After both men’s and women’s basketball teams came away with the victory in their nonconference match-ups on Friday, the LeMoyne-Owen College Magicians travel to Augusta, Georgia, to face-off against SIAC opponent Paine College (PC) in a doubleheader.
The Magicians (3-6, 0-4 SIAC) visited Tougaloo College in Mississippi, Friday evening for an exhibition match at Owens Health and Wellness Center. In a close contest LeMoyne-Owen came out on top over the Bulldogs, 86-80. Looking to keep their win streak alive, the Magicians head to Augusta to take on the Lions.
Paine College enters Monday’s contest at 1-9 overall, and 0-3 in SIAC play. The Lions came up short Saturday, falling to conference opponent Lane College, 59-48. Forward-center Deshawndric Nelms and guard Phillip Garner led the Lions in scoring with 12 points each.
Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM on Monday, Dec. 18 immediately following the women’s game.
