The Lady Magicians (4-5, 2-2 SIAC) came away with the 55-50 victory over Southern Arkansas University, in a game that had five lead changes. LOC played big inside scoring 26 points to SAU’s 18 in the paint. Despite an off shooting night from the charity stripe, the Lady Magicians outrebounded the Lady Muleriders 42-37, and had three players reach double figures. SAU’s Sue Key finished with 11 points to lead the Lady Muleriders while LOC’s Dana Gettis led all scorers in the game with 18. Senior Tenesha Wright made her return to the court giving the Lady Magicians a spark on both ends of the floor as she finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Taylor-Johnson Prackett also added 10 points, six rebounds and two steals for LOC.

The Lady Lions of Paine College are winless on the season (0-7, 0-2 SIAC) as they prepare to host LeMoyne-Owen on Monday evening. In the 2016-17 campaign, the Lady Lions fell to LOC in the first round of the SIAC Women’s Basketball Tournament. Hungry for a win, PC looks to turn things around before the holiday break and bounce back from their 61-44 loss to Lane College.

Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM on Monday, Dec. 18.
