Central State University Visits LeMoyne-Owen College

Memphis, Tenn., — The LeMoyne-Owen College (LOC) Magicians men’s and women’s basketball teams welcome Central State University (CSU) to C. Arthur Bruce/Jerry C. Johnson Hall for a conference doubleheader this Saturday.

The Lady Magicians (9-8, 6-5 SIAC) are coming off a thrilling double-overtime win against the Miles College Golden Bears, where three of LeMoyne-Owens players finished in double-digit scoring led by Tenesha Wright.

Wright hit the go ahead bucket with 1.8 seconds remaining in the second overtime to give LOC the 65-63 victory. After SIAC leading scorer, Dana Gettis fouled out, Wright picked up the scoring slack in route to a 21-point performace. Gettis finished with 17 points and four steals for LeMoyne. Miles was led by Taylor Terry who recorded her first career double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds.

LOC Courtney Banks posted 11 points on the evening, while Taylor Johnson-Prackett led the Lady Magicians on the boards with 10 rebounds.
