LeMoyne-Owen Lady Magicians Down Rival Lane College, 62-46

Jackson, Tenn., — With stakes high and bragging rights on the line, Saturday afternoons SIAC #RivalryWeek match-up between the LeMoyne-Owen College Magicians and the Lane College Dragons lived up to its hype.

The Lady Magicians came in to Oman Arena, looking to spoil the Lady Dragons’ senior night as they got out to an 18-10 first quarter lead. Still hanging around, Lane made some shots of their own, but LeMoyne-Owen’s Shaynn Nance hit one from deep to give LOC the 31-27 advantage at the break.

In the second half, Lane would go cold, as the Lady Magicians held the Dragons to just two points in third period, going on to win it 62-46.

Antrice McCoy led the Lady Dragons with 15 points, while senior Chloe Roberts left her mark with 12 points and seven rebounds.

For the Lady Magicians, Miller would finish with 18 points, followed by Dana Gettis with 14 points and five assists. Tenesha Wright grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go with 11 points, while Nance and Ty Broadwater each grabbed seven boards.
